High-Order Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation of Separated Flow with Self-Adaptive Dissipation

A self-adaptive dissipation method based on a fifth-order dissipative compact scheme is proposed to reduce the numerical in separated flow. The involves operating parameter adjust weight of upwind part, which major source dissipation. Cooperated with delayed detached eddy simulation, can perform less large-eddy simulation region resolve more small-scale structures, and return normal Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes stabilize simulation. Firstly, decay isotropic turbulence simulated study influence over energy spectrum resolution turbulent structures. Secondly, plane channel flow test stability under pressure gradient fluctuation. Finally, typical NACA0021 airfoil circular cylinder investigated, results are compared experimental data.
